if you have installed the m-tech body kit, have you noticed that the amount of dust cummulated on the rear bumper is more than usual as compare to the original bumper design?

IMHO this most likely is due to aerodynamic design such that at the tail area there is low pressure region therefore sucking in road dust and settling there.

Now if you notice the M5 design, the boot portion is flushed. There is a retrofit piece available in the market called "trunk lid finisher". See M5 part list as attached!
I wonder if we install this piece the dust cummulation will not be as adversed!?

M5 owners out there, do you notice? also by the way how do you lock the boot with key?

Which part is the trunk lid finisher that you mention?

It has been raining here for almost 2 weeks straight. I forgot what dust is. For a moment today I saw this unusual orange orb in the sky. Someone told me it was the sun.

Incidentally, I've just acquired the part. It is now being painted over and installed. There is no way you can use the original key-hole now. You'll have to rely on the button on your key and the optional button loacted within the car itself.

Don't know if the part will stop the dust problem. I think its more for aesthetic purposes.

I have had the part installed for several months, and not noticed any decrease in the dust accumulated.

But it looks good, so who cares

Just use a california Duster once per day.
