hi anyone out there a radio ham or amatuer radio operator?
has anyone knowledge of fitting ham radio transmitters in e60 series?

Hello ..
I don?t know about E60, but in E39, when I transmit on 70 cm band,
speed of car, go to low, and when I stop transmitting, all is ok.
So, something effect to motor control.
Ok, 73...CUL....OH.... !

thanks for the reply yes i would suspect this ,a high frequency(70cms) might be a problem.the problem always seems to be lack of screening in all cars to reject unwanted signals.what we need is the techies that fit out e60 for police in germany and see what they have done .thanks anyway
blasting the ecu or electronics inside the car will invalidate warranties that is the problem.expensive.....let alone malfunctioning of devices spontaniously.
