Washed the car myself today and upon close inspection, the clear coat on my R5's are peeling? I've never used anything on them other than a mild soap (Adam's) and water. I always wash my car myself so nobody has used chemicals. They are less than a year old. Any warranty?
Would I be better off taking them to a local polishing shop and having the rest of the clear coat removed and the lips repolished?
Not overly happy with this. Suggestions welcomed.

I have the same problem with my Asanti 128's. There are peeling on my chrome area. I called the place where I got them from and they said you have to send it to us and they send it to Asanti. Call the place where you got them from, they might tell you the same thing.

Just out of curiosity, do you wax your rims and if so, how often?

My first thought was to remove the clear coat and simply polish them. After a bit of thought, without the clear coat I'd have to keep on them constantly. I really like the design, so I'll go ahead and have the lips chromed. Long term I think that will be the best route for durability and looks.
One thing I didn't like about them (and other wheels) is the inner barrel always got dirty and was tough to clean. I may have that part power coated in silver or possibly matte black.
