There is NO device that helps you when you drive through Germany.

I agree with you but they never do anything on the Autobahn or if you go over 200 and it is visiable as all the merz are behind you
The only problem is, there are several ways to measure your speed that NO radar detector can warn you of!

Just to give everybody a rough idea about our police cars and the system...
There are unmarked police cars with a system called "provida". Those cars have cameras, so small that you can't see them, in the rear and the front. They can video tape you while you drive, they can even zoom in and move the camera to the side when they pass you. The system in the car measures the EXACT speed and puts it on the tape. They can see everything... Seatbelts, distance, making phone calls... and of course the speed... Once they have you on tape, the unmarked car will become a visible police car in a matter of about five seconds!!! Police lights and signs...
They stop you to see who is driving, and then you will see "your" tape... Those tickets are allways extremely expensive!
NO radar detector can help you there! And I have seen them stopping cars just for that reason, because there was a radar detector installed. The radar detector gets taken away and it is a huge fine.
They see the installation of the radar detector as the "intention of speeding". Also, if you are involved inan accident and have a radar detector in your car... because of the intentiopn of speeding your insurance will not pay, because you were having the intention to speed... and that might have caused the accident...
So, radar detectors in Germany is a big NO-NO!
Just like having police lights in the car...

With the detectors I do not care I never had and for the moment I never got a ticket in any countries, even sometimes from Achen I start... until the border of Austria.-)
Where is this area the use these, HOBI cud you do something like that?
