Get a V1! I went from the Passport 8500 to the Valentine. No question it's the best. Definitely the most costly, but well worth every penny. Also, my cousin has the K40 in his S55 AMG and it goes off for every false alarm (Very annoying).

One BT device should not affect another when in the same vicinity. For example, on occassion, I have used a BT adapter and BT headphones with my iPod in my car--while using my BT cell phone.

I believe the leaders in Radar/Laser technology are Cincinati Microwave (Escort)/Belltronics and Valentine. I would look up the statistical test results to see how this system compares for the best protection.

The unique aspect of this system is that it is blue tooth, which eliminates a feedback wire. However, the sensors still need battery power, so I am not sure if it really saves you anything. The wireless remote, may save mounting a display/led/mute-control button, but I prefer to have that stuff mounted and tucked away.

The biggest pain with any integrated radar/laser system is the install. Typically you have three laser detector/jammers, radar unit, interface unit, control/display (not required to be visible), dash led, and speaker.... which means a lot of wires and a lot of work to install. This system may cut down on some of that, but I am not so sure.

Again, I think the performance is the best indicator. Let us know if you find any independent tests.

Valentine has the patent on the arrows.

K40 has direction warnings, but they are just audible... no arrows.

V1 rules. Once you live with the arrows, you can't go without.

hahahaha...that's like the ad. i actually switched from the passport to the v1, just like the other tesitomonials tell it. and the truth is, they are right on the money. no doubt...V1 is the best. Plus, if he ever upgrades the software, you can return it to them for the free upgrade and they'll mail it back to you...even after 5-10 years!

Getting a little of topic here, but the K40 audible direction warnings may infringe the patent.

Here is a link to the patent if anyone is interested.

BT works very well together with other devices. I have a BT keyboard and mouse. And have used them both with my BT cell on a BT headset while also transfering a file from my phone to another BT laptop and had no issues. And on the floor above me was another computer with a BT mouse and keyboard.

This seems like a great optoin if you want/need a stealth installation. I like my V1 but I long for it to have a remote mount setup.
