I sometimes see some tire figures for racing cars like: m3 gtr, 320si WTCC car and so on, that i can't understand. Those are not usual figures like 245/40 R18 or what we are familiar with but more like this:
This is for the BMW M3 GTR race version:
Michelin racing tires in the dimensions 27/65-18 (front) and 27/68-18 (rear)
Can anyone explain this?
Thanx.

The sizes you mention describe the tire's dimensions in centimeters.
For example, the 27/65-18 would measure 270 millimeters in width and 650 millimeters in diameter. The 18 is the rim diameter in inches (just like the "normal" tire size nomenclature.)
