I'm reading up some more on the actual installation of the KWs and stumbled upon the following disclaimer:
"in some cases spacers may be required for installation".
Has anyone installed KW V3s on an Xi? What size spacers did you use on your OEM ET43 offset wheels? Or what offset aftermarket rims did you use?
I'm thinking if spacers are indeed required for Xi, maybe I might as well get the Breytons with ET30 front and ET35 rear offsets? And if they rub a bit, I'll just roll and pull the fenders - what do you guys think about this?

id get 10mm spacers so they are sitting around 20mm after you lower
you shouldnt have to roll either
you shouldnt have to roll either

But yes, you're basically confirming what I thought originally - since the stock offset on my Xi is ET43, I'll get ET30 wheels in the front (which is basically same as getting 13mm spacers) and ET35 is the rear - cuz ya know, if you ain't staggered, you got no swagger

I should also add that the statement that spacers may be required mentioned that they may be required to "clear the wheel", meaning that the KWs don't "sink" the wheels any deeper than stock, they just take up more space inside the wheel well.

Firstly, "lovered" - Freud would be proud of you
I'm gonna "lover" mine too hahahaha
Second...

thanks for the info, but can you please clarify - do you experience any rubbing issues with these offsets? I'd imagine with 18s its probably not as big an issue though...
You see, I'm doing this first and foremost for the driving, and then looks (although, I must admit, I'm EXTREMELY partial to the looks as well), but basically I want it to be a bulletproof setup, I don't want to have to change control arms after every trip to the mountains... errr, I meant the track

well a wider stance is always better, why do you think bmw has negative camber stock with good offsets?
wide stance, stretch and poke = awesome

I'll be re-aligning everything when I get the KWs, so I'll probably set it up for the best compromise between rubber consumption and handling. Guess, worst case, I'll have to pull the fenders. I'm not dying to do it, but if it has to be done... a wider stance would look pretty hot too
