My 530D came with the standard (rather ugly) 16" non run-flat BMW alloys.

QUESTION:

*** Where's the best place in the UK to buy & fit replacement, better looking non run-flat alloy wheels? ***

Have decided against run-flat as the standard tyres do give a significantly better ride.

Thanks for any advice: A UK

All of the E60 alloys will take non runflat tyres. You should use your purchase with your dealer to try and negotiate a bit of discount of some alloys. You should get 10% minimum. My dealer has alloys lying around apparently from cars where owners have done upgrades but not been cute enough to ask for the originals back would you believe. I don't know if they have any E60 alloys. It's worth asking your dealer if they have any in stock from cars which have had upgrades done.

Hi AndyUK

I have a set of 17 inch style 116 BMW wheels off my car. They are perfect with no scuffs. Still have the runflats on but they need changing. You can put non-runflats on these. If you are interested PM me and we can talk!

AndyUK,

I bought two sets of wheels from: -

http://www.elite-design.co.uk/index.html

They're delivered to your door complete with tyres and balancing. They have wheels that are exactly the same pattern as genuine BMW styles for less than 1/2 the price.
I fitted them to my car and when I sold it put the originals back on then sold the others on Ebay. All very easy and cheap way of making your car look great.
