I really want to buy an ACS style lip and a vendor on this forum offers them for $375 painted and shipped.
My concern is that if they use the factory paint I am worried that since my car is from 2005 the paint will not match becuase my paint may be a little faded. Is it better to have them painted locally?

Would it look different?

I recommend locally. Also, no need to make an entire new thread about this.

I just made a new thread because the title is very different from the one I made earlier. I am just trying to get a good amount of answers.

if u have $ to spend, get it painted locally so it matches and u can go back to them if it's crap. If ui wanna save $ and take the risk, get i painted.

How much risk are we talking about? What are the chances?

If you are this worried about it, then don't take ANY risk. Get it painted locally from someone you know and can take it back to if it is not completed to your satisfaction.

Since you have a 4 yo car and live in the sunny Florida, the paint of the car
has fore sure get lightened by the sun.

You need a highly skilled expert to find the exact color of your car.

Had to have new bumpers on both of my BMW's and the paint isn't an exact match and thats on cars that were 4 and 11 months old. Both done at BMW approved body shops as well. I doubt you will get a perfect match just painting one panel they will have to blend it in with local panels. Saying that a slight difference in a lip spoiler won't be that noticable IMO but would still get it done locally so you have the best chance.
