Thumbs up

Hey guys ~ first time posting on the E60 boards. I'm thinking if anyone can answer my question, it would be you clever folks.

I just purchased a `05 545i (non-sport) last week, and I'm looking for some add-on parts to spice up the look. I've pretty much decided to go for the AC-Schnitzer look - the only problem is that I've noticed a very BIG difference between the original AC Schnitzer rear lip add-on and the replicas that I've seen on the forum.

What I'm referring to is the middle section of the lip - it appears that the original ACS lip has one more louver or horizontal piece in the midsection, giving it a "vented" look, while the replicas do not (having a bland painted look).

This is what I'm talking about :

Replica look (not vented)

VS.

Original AC Schnitzer

If you see the middle section there is an obvious CLEAR distinction...

I would really appreciate it if one of you knowledgeable people can let me know which replica is an exact match to the original. There are alot of replica manufacturers out there from what I can gather (VIS Racing, Wings West, AIT Racing, ATECH, ACE, etc.), and I am in urgent need of direction.

Thank you all in advance, and look forward to participating on the forums!!!

I had a schnitzer kit from the dealer (bmw/schnitzer) and it was the same as the first picture, I don't know what is the difference but I will ask it asap at the Schnitzer salesman

Thanks for the warm welcome! Do you happen to know where I may be able to purchase this "Add-on" part (replicas included) so that I can get the vented look?

Nice looking ride by the way!

i was trying to look for it and finally gave up. u would have to purchase the real part for it and I am not 100% sure if it fits. Even people who bought the real ACS kit didnt get the diffuser. It's actually a diffuser but I dunno hor useful it would be
