No work needs to be done to the chassis. Only if you get a M5 exhaust system for a non M5. The M5 mufflers are by the bumper. So if you fit an M5 exhaust system, you will have to modify the battery compartment and spare tub to fit the muffler on the passenger side.

Many members have the muffler installed where the rectangular resonator is.

Cost more, but the RPi exhaust for weight loss and power gain. I heard stock exhaust for 535i is 122 lbs and RPi is 64 lbs. With that weight shed AND power gain, wow!

i'm in the process of parting out my 535, but i will be selling my custom quad remus exhaust w/black powder coated tips.

It's pure cheese bro. Why do it? For looks? Stay true to your cars form spending money where it counts - on real performance. Why not go for some M5 front fender grills to?
