For some odd reasons, it sound more tamed at higher rpm like I mentioned before. Maybe somebody could enlighten me on this cause.
I don't know the reason for it, but that's just the nature of our V8 engine. Every aftermarket exhaust I've heard (except my M5 E-Race) on our cars has a louder sweet spot from 2k rpm to 3.5k rpm, and then it starts to sound more tame at higher rpms. This is the case with my old Remus, the B&B, Supersprint, etc. Now my current M5 E-Race breaks that trend. I don't know why either...I can only assume its because the muffler is designed for a screaming V10 at high revs

I'll PM you on the info. Thank you everyone for your comments both good and not so good. Looks like I'm having to tame the monster/beast down because of the droning between 1600-2100 rpm. I'm not enjoying the luxury sport sedan has much with all that droning. The exterior sound, on the other hand, is fabulous and enjoyable. I don't know how, but it has to be done. The first step is putting the center box resonators back. If that doesn't tame the beast down to acceptable level at low speed cruising, I'm forced to replace the glasspacks with oval mufllers. I looked into the dyno flow x muffler, but it won't fit.

Does anyone know the anatomy of the two rear stock mufflers on the bmw?
