Is there anything else out there or should I get one of these?

probably the cheapest option would be a custom setup for quads.

+1 on the custom set up. Do a search and you'll read all about it.
My quads is a set up from a magnaflow muffler I bought from eBay. Cost me no more than $600 all together with piping/installation.

Remus is a solid choice, we visited with their US distributor a couple of weeks ago and I have been real impressed with the quality and R&D that goes into each system. They are OE suppliers to Brabus, MBZ, Porsche, AC Schnitzer and a few other large name manufacturers.

Basically, if you're looking for performance go with Remus.
If you're just looking to do quads for looks + sound then just go with the less expensive alternative custom set up.

I have a 06 550, and I want a quad setup, that's not too loud, just a subtle rumble when I step on the gas.
What should I tell the shop in terms of the setup?
I'm not looking for performance gain to be honest, but I don't want to lose power as well.

Member: NERWEEZY can provide you with the part numbers to order, or you can order the mufflers through him.
