We need more info from you. What are your mods? So far, we know you have 20" 167 replicas, probably 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 tires, 10mm spacers and springs. What kind of springs do you have?


Can you also explain what you mean by this. Are you saying in addition to the 285s, you have 10mm wheel spacers?
I got a 10mm spacer fitted to the bottom of the front springs and still they're rubbing

I am now running 20's (R-10's) with Michelin Pilot Sport2. I've been ALL over this rubbing topic.
Here are some thoughts:

-Michelin PS2's have a very high/square shoulder, and so the same size in a Toyo or Pirello will be less likely to rub

-Your offset will go a long way in determining your likelyhood to rub

-You can't do much to roll a front fender, as there's barely a lip there. But the front of the front fender's lip flattens out where the metal meets the plastic front bumper, and that may be where you rub.

-Rubbing on the plastic liner of the wheel well is nothing more than annoying. If this is happending to you, and you can't stand it, you can: 1. drill 2 small holes in the plastic and bracket the plastic back to the metal behind it (I will post pics) or 2. try molding the plastic where it hits the tire with a heat gun (be extremely careful not to ruin the plastic or melt anything behind it, or 3. cut a hole in the liner where it rubs.

-If you rub on metal of the arch (top or side), you're screwed (dangerous), and if rolling doesn't make a difference you have to get a different size tire (lower profile), or a test a different tire brand (with a lower or more rounded shoulder).

-Most high-end wheel shops will do the testing for you, and come up with a solution

Heres a pic of the wheels on a 6 series cab (I'll shoot some pics of my car when i get the rest of my mods done )

FRONT 20X9.0 Offset ET15,
REAR 20X10.0 Offset ET20,
FRONT TIRE FALKEN GRB-FK452 245/35/20ZR (NEWEST TOP OF LINE FALKEN)
REAR TIRE FALKEN GRB-FK452 275/30/20ZR (NEWEST TOP OF LINE FALKEN)

All guards are rolled,springs are Vogtlund brand from Germany.
Had a really bad rub and when i went back to the shop they fitted 10mm spacers,or packers,under each front spring to give it an 'actual' rise of around 5-6mm once the car settled.It has improved it,but i'm still not happy it rubs at all .
I guess it could be worse though...i was gonna buy 21's

You didn't mention what the drop of your springs are. Is it 30mm or 60mm?

Hmmm... That's not much of a drop at all. And you fitted 10mm spacers to raise it. Looks to me like you might have to put the stocks back on. You should post your pics so we can see exactly what we're commenting on. Shoot just the pics of the wheel well and tires.
