Fitted PS2's at the beginning of March, 7mm new tread depth at 34680 miles.
Today the rears have 4mm with 45400 on the clock.
So the rears are wearing at a rate of 3554 miles per mm.
Fronts have 5mm left, if I do a front to rear swap these tyres will have 10662 miles then the whole set will be scrap.
That will be 21324 miles or thereabouts for a set of PS2's.
I am a little disappointed with that, I wouldn't consider myself hard on tyres.

I'd be extremely happy with 30 000km''s on the rears, and perfectly satisfied with anything over 25 000 kms.
On the fronts I'd expect 30 000km's.

My front PS2 are still new, after 20,000 km .
I should check at the rear: I think in next 10k km I will have to replace them .
But PS2 are great tires!!

i think the biggest difference between wear comes when you drive an automatic compared to non-automatic cars. i had seen less wear on my e60 which was manual compared to my colleague's 535d that was obviously automatic - both conti wheels. however, now that i switched to automatic (same driving style), i see a bit more wear. this theory explains why alexfw's wear (he has smg) is favourable compared to kaf's wear..

PS2 is very soft tires, because of that they have excellent performance. I have talked about PS2 with couple of specialist and they told me that for 12500 mls they are very good and life time is 18750 mls. I had 25000 mls with my PS2s and rear tires were very slicked and front tires edges were worn out.
Now i have Continental SportContact 2 and i like them more than PS2, because they seem more stronger and harder and improved performance.

I had conti's on my wifes Honda, they wore very quickly.
Mind you, she drives like a dingbat at times !!

i would expect to get 25,000 miles from a set of tyres normally.
did the ps2's replace run flats? would be very interested to hear your comments on the differences. i thought that the ps2's were only a summer tyre also, no good in the cold and wet - soon to arrive anyday!
