This never stops . Changed fuel pump 2 water pumps all the injectors and sparks , my car shakes moderately when I start it , now it starts shaking heavily when I just start the car . When I put it to drive and let it roll it shakes so heavily that I stop turn the car off , turn it back on and only then I could drive . A week ago it happen and the check engine light turned on I turned off the car and it never reappeared . I got used to the slight shake and smell of exhaust smoke when I start it but the heavy shaking makes me feel something bad is about to happen . Anyone has any input . The car feels very flimsy also
Thanks for helping .

Autozone might even be able to read some codes for you. Otherwise get a good reader. If the issues are related or failed previous repairs and its under two years BMW will cover. Better hurry and find out.
did you get any news???
similar problem...
i just changed all the coils and sparks as per my codes...
still the light shaking in the beginning with NO CODES to show anything.. I'm told that a new batch of injectors are out (2013) for the n54 and that my (excuse my memory)"exhaust valves" are bad...
with no codes all of this is guessing and very pricey...
also i did an oil change at the same time and it came out black and old looking, funny thing is i changed the oil only 7 weeks prior and have only done light city driving in this damn cold city of Montreal Canada.
any help out there??
Thank you.

The oil is supposed to be black if it's doing it's job. The oil is suspending contaminants that would otherwise be on your engine parts, plus your car is turbocharged so its much harder on the oil.
