I recently noticed my angel eyes flicker when I start up the car. Both sides flicker for about 6-7 times then stop. Does anyone else have this issue?

Mine do it as well. I think it may be the AIBv3's I don't remember seeing it before I installed them. Then again I didn't really pay too much attention to the factory angel eyes.

it happens to all angel eye upgrades for pre-LCI e60s. Don't worry, it won't do anything bad to the car

Here's CustomAngelsEye.com's explanation:

Q: I have an E60 or X5, and when I turn the key to a certain position the Angel Eyes blink, is this normal?
A: Yes, it is perfectly normal, and safe. It has to do with the way the BMW computer feeds electricity to the headlights during a certain key position, the computer is conducting normal diagnostic procedures.

Ya know, a 2 second time-delay circuit on start-up would eliminate strobe effects (but would probably require an additional module for the circuit). I kinda like the Angel Eye 'warm up sequence' though.
