Hi,

I am a new member and a new owner of 530i

I have a quick question.

I bought a jet black 530 and i've searched here and there (ebay, craigslist, e60) for body kit.

First cosmetic mod that i want to do is trunk lid & rear window spoiler + front lip.

Do you think I should buy pre-painted part rather than buying unpainted & have local shop to paint to save money?

How much do you think it will cost to paint those part all together & install in LA?
(please recommend me few shops around So. Cal with price

Also another question is if I get quad exhaust, will it void my warranty?

------------
Summary
1. Which is cheaper? prepainted kit? or unpaint kit+paint at local shop
2. Recommend me a few shops in LA that does paint & install
3. Quad exhaust will void my warranty?
-----------

Thanks!!!

Welcome to the Forum!

Your best bet is to get the pieces unpainted and have a shop paint it and install it for you. It'll also match your car color the best, cause you never know what some sellers would be sending if they have never seen your car, even with the color code.

And buying the pieces are cheap, you can get them from Garry at Newport BMW. His number is on the top sticky in the Parts and Mod's section. Us e60.net members receive a 25% discount on parts. His prices are also slightly lower than realoem.com I guess that'll make up for in shipping.

As for knowing a shop in Cali, sorry, I'm from NYC. And There are a lot of guys that can help you with that on this forum.

Warranty, I'm not sure if it'll void it. But considering its BMW, and you wanting to take out stock exhaust and adding quads just might void it.

Have fun, and make sure once you find what you like, install it and post pictures! We all love pictures!
