Pre-LCi led Taillight plugs

Hi all,
I recently sold some Led tail lights to a fellow member and there seems to be an issue with the plugs fitted to the back of the lights. See the photos below, the lights come with the main black plug but then also 2 smaller white plugs. On my 530d 55 plate these plugged in the inner wheel arch sort of area, just above and to the left of the battery on the drivers side and just behind the logic 7 amp.
The buyer says there is no where to plug these 2 x smaller white plugs (per light) in. What could the issue be? He is also getting error codes on the iDrive saying both lights are faulty.
I have now fitted Bruce's LCI tail lights hence the change. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers guys.

Also probably worth mentioning that those are the pre-LCI aftermarket LED tail-lights. Those lights came with two extra units, a resistor pack and an electronics module. It could well me that those are missing and hence those plugs are hanging.
