Pre-LCI Head&Tail Light to LCI

Hi guys, I have a 2007 E60 and I wanted to upgrade the headlight and tail light to LCI, I read that I need an LM2? I have no clue what that is...

Anyone can chime in and tell me what parts do I need including part number to complete this project?

Hey,

I don't have all the info on this but I figured I'd pass on what I do know.

pre LCI have the LM1 which is very basic and controls the light functions in the car but minimal options.

LM2 is basically the newer improved version that allows you to setup your Angel Eyes as Daytime Running lights it gives you additional options for pathway lighting and BFD (Brake
Force Display) and you can setup your Welcome Lights to come on Softly along with selecting exactly which lights you want to come on (I have mine to Angel Eyes, puddle lights and Fog lights. I have an 05 with the LM2 and it's a great retrofit, I also have LCI tails but I used the Bruce Miranda's for the Rickey Brake Effect.

To my knowledge you will also need a cable harness to run from the front to the back for the LCI lights retrofit

hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for all the information! Do you have a part number for the LM2 and where is the LM1 located on your E60? I am looking to change out the tail lights and head lights to LCI

Hello sanjsanj, does it need to be the complete VIN or just the last digits?

Cheers

only if I can source the lights for a good price, where and how much are you guys paying for the LCI headlights?

I'm also interested in updating to LCI tail and headlights on my 2005 520I sport currently fitted with standard halogen. I want to upgrade LCM, OEM tail lights and Projector 60 V3 for headlights but not sure which LCM and wiring harness to get.

Done it my self and very happy ... started from hacking it to full conversion by myself.
