Default Pre LCI Halogen to LCI Halogen conversion (to be continued)

Can't leave message in that thread and seems like someone might still want to go throuogh the conversion so I started this one hoping experts can give ideas on some questions I have. My car is 12/06 which should have LM2....

1. Regarding the pre-lci two 5w and lci one 10w AE bulb, some said resistor is required while others don't, what is the case? I read through the BMW conversion pdf, mentioned....

For all cars.
Dismantle plug X12 from the light module and reconnect
the cables as follows:
– pin 25, GR/GN, to pin 63
– pin 40, GR/BL, to pin 11

According to this wiring diagram, pin 25 and 40 is "Signal, parking light" left and right and changed to "not used" and "signal, paking lght, right" respectively.

Is it necessary to do this to avoid idrive error? or any updated special solution?

Used to think about the conversion in OEM way but hard to find coding in HK....so go the other way, I will install LCI taillights with Ricky's method this week, thanks to Ricky and friends in HK passing this technic to make the tail conversion become so easy. Headlights must be done after it.
