Hey all,
I'm in the market to purchase a tire inflator. Of course it would be AC/DC, plug in the car or regular plug.
Does anyone recommend any particular brand? Since I have 20's, I want to keep the airfill up to spec (41-42PSI) and be able make sure i've got enough air on all tires.
I think i see a black and decker on on amazon. its around 40-50 dollars.
Let me know off your experiences.

There is the M mobility kit that comes with the M3/5/6. It basicly is a lighter plug -in pump and bottle of sealant goo in a BMW travel case. Think the run $100-150
I have one on my VW r32 , and the pump works well as long as the car is running. I ran the fronts at 40 and the rears at 45 . THe original R32 did not have a spare or run flats so it came in handy.

The one for my R32 came with it, it is a small box say 3"x5"x5" that flips open to reveal the power cord and the air line with inline pressure gauge.
The nipple/shrade on it won't fit the TPS valve stems on the BMW's though
The part at BAV is BMW M Mobility Emergency Tire Repair Kit - part # MK 558
169.99
but I bet you can get it cheaper if you look around.

for an AC/DC that might be your best bet. I've only used cheap no name 12v DC ones, never seeing an AC one like the Black and Decker. Just have to be careful you don't run it too long had the motors burn out if you're not careful...or careful of the persons you lend them to

is 41-42 PSI really the specs? I've been running 31-32 PSI. uH oh...
in NYC, its pretty bad too, so high PSI would prevent rim damage.... Maybe?
I heard from a friend that people running 20's recommend that PSI.
What do you rim experts think? is that true?

the roads here are quite good... they're not exactly bumpy.. .just kinda "wavy" in some area but not much at all... but quite a bit of sewage cover thing sticking out a lot... so yeah, what do rim experts think? what PSI are you guys running?

Read my post again.... I said on my R32 VW .... I ran the tire pressures that high... NOT on my 535i.
