PLZ HELP ??? Tornado Super Charger
#1
I have been looking at some upgrades that I would like to purchase. My research and help from some responses I recieved (thanks E60 Forums) led me to a RPI Scoop and BMC Filter. I have been looking at this BMW Tornado Super Charger on www.myhotbmw.com I am new to this DIY and the BMW world so I dont know if this would be a wise choice or if its a flop. I would appreciate a response asap so I can place my orders tonight and enjoy my new goodies. Thanks to everyone who lends me their knowledge.

Whilst they might be calling it a "Supercharger" it's not even close. A super charger is driven via the engine. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercharger) and compresses the air. This seems to be just an electric fan which in my mind would do nothing.
I would be very doubtful this would provide any performace boost what so ever.

That thing is a scam...Its a few years old...They've had it in a few magazines that have proven it looses horsepower...Don't waste your money....

It's not even an electric fan...it just spins in the airflow. Will restrict the flow.
