plug for bms powerbox n52 engine
#1
Got an oil change today and turned my bms powerbox off at the dealer-because the super sensitive gas pedal I am scared they will hit something not expecting it. I got in drove off and forgot to put it back on and noticed immediatly it felt like my pedal was absolutely dead an the car did not go at all. Had already been going onto freeway and had the 30 mile drive home and not kidding you the car was depressing to drive. No pedal response, no responsiveness and no throttle response. I dont know how much of the bms box is simply throttle response or horsepower but the combination of whatever it dcoes makes you touch the pedal and instand goooo. I turned it back on finally at a traffic light and immediatly it was like getting a new car--

I have mine sitting at my shop waiting for install. Just havent had the time, specially with dealing with insurance and the bs from the recent love tap i got. Figure i'd get all my work done before indulging on the install.

guys this may be off topic but isnt it better if you get a proper ecu tune and get the same result, I called Activewerks or whatever and they have a tune for n52 engines. Not only it increases the throttle but additional 15+20whp. The reason why i personally prefer tune is because i have been told by all the hardcore tuners that piggybacks are a big no no. Esp with Variable timing where engine constantly changes its timing and has different "parameters," a biggyback in the long run would damage the engine as its only has control over "few things."
whats your take on this?
