Default PlastiDip gunmetal on 172s

To augment the existing PlastiDip thread, are a couple of quick pics of the 172s in gunmetal. I did ~4 coats of black and then 3 or 4 coats of silver metalizer.

Thanks! It is an easy a cheap way to make a huge improvement on the look of the car. Plus, this stuff peels right off if I want to change it. It holds up a lot better than I thought too. I have run it through the touchless car wash without a problem.

Have any pics? What did you use it for on the shadow line trim?

Yeah, the metalizer is a PlastiDip product. They also have pearlizers too.

I bought the kit from dipyourcar.com. They have a ton of videos on youtube on how to do this stuff.

Ahhh... I thought it looked darker than their canned gunmetal. I like this darker one better. Not as dark as the charcoal.

I almost used the charcoal gray instead of the black for the base, but I saw some photos of a 370Z that used the black base...looked sweet. He used more metalizer than I did. Next time I might try an additional coat of the metalizer.

I went from "what wheels am I going to get for this thing" to "damn, I like those wheels on this car"
