yes and no.
ive got cars running around that i wrapped 3 years ago still looking perfect.
then again, there are people who get their car wrapped and hit the track and the front end gets all jacked up.
thats like saying paint doenst hold up well because someone did a track day and got pitting and nicks in the finish....it all depends on conditions and treatment. no?
dip is not more durable....an any way form or fashion. especially when considering washing it and up keep. but then again, anyone considering dipping their car prolly wont want to fork over the real cash it takes for a quality wrap. dip jobs are like $400 and a quality wrap on an E60 is $2500 lol

To be honest, wraps aren't really durable either. Depending on coats, I am more inclined to say that Plasti Dip is actually more durable than wrap.
Two weeks ago I was in a shop and saw a GTR that was wrapped that just came back from a track day. The front was tore up basically.

ive wanted to try dipping my car.. im not stranger to painting cars so i cant imagine it would be tough, just the unmasking part scares me. do the whole car perfectly then ruin it all becuse it stuck to the tape.

At the end of the day, the only thing that wrap has over dipping is the finished surface.
And we're not really discussing pricing here. A good wrap up here in the Bay is over $3k. Closer to $4-4.5k.

Thanks for the comments guys....
Went to the car wash today, the one where you park and do it yourself, just used the spray and foam soap brush, it went great.
I decided to go with plasti-dip because its way cheaper than wrap, and for the cost of 1 wrap is about 3-4 plasti-dips. It's not an amazing job, but it was good enough, Im not perfectionists, just wanting to make it look decent.
I tried taking some pics, but they weren't coming out the way it looks. Gonna take some pics and post 'em sometime this week.
