they are smooth like the surface of my PS3......i just showed it to a friend who has a 730Li Individual with Piano Black, he couldn tell the difference, i look at his the color shade is a little bit different but shine feel and material seems same....i wonder if piano black is wood or not....can someone give a confirm data?

btw anyone noticed how my shifter was still unlocked and rotated towards the right.... i just realized i didn fully lock it...so just went and did that....

This is pianoblack and it is wooden with aluminium frame in the back. (compound)
Aluminium/real wooden peel/polyester clear coating

Nice mod BTW!!! Congrats!! I'll do the same shortly, on the original wood trims, but with a small difference...

Really nice mod!

How about door handles? Did you leave them un-painted?

yeah I don't have enough courage to open the door trim, as it requires to open the whole door panel, don't wanna end up with broken clips and rattle afterwards

I fully agree with you. I have same sitution with door leds (extended light package), which I want add. Clips are cheap to replace, but then comes also all possible warnings from airbags.

yeah i am figuring out a way to spray the door strips by covering the whole panel and rest of the interior , paint shop they will do them ..... they will charge a lot more as this time they have to cover the whole thing and do a more precise job.........

loving the color contrast. what got my attention most was the boot of the shifter being the same color as the leather seats
