Nothing short of a supercharger will make your 525 faster. Here's a thread about a 530 supercharger but it also mentions 525 as well: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=32498
If you're thinking remapped ECU, CAI, throttle body, flywheel, etc... I don't think I have seen anything for the 525 either.

In my opinion a supercharger is too expensive for what you get.I mean 44 extra hp for 3500euros
ESS tuning offers more hp but 6000euros
The reliability is the biggest issue here though.How sure can you be in the end?
