These guys claim 30HP increase. Anyone used anything similar?

Check the mods section
there are about 4 different ecu mods for the 535i's right now, but you never stated the type of E60 you are talking about.

It's for a 528i. Is worth the hassle?
Any warning lights after installation?
Any loss of MPG?

My Ride: E60 525i,Mystic blau,bi xenon,steptronic,sunroof,inclined rear seat,black Merino leather,electric ,heated front seats with driver memory,navigator,rain sensor,head up display,active cruise control,PDC,bluethooth Sonyericsson T630 phone,134 wheels with winter tires and 138 with summer tires.
E 60 uses M45 ECU. It doesn't programmed via OBD. Need to remove the ECU unit and to solder some pins on the motherboard in order to tune the file with the PC. Results are excellent , form 14hp in the 520i up to 24hp in the 530i. The site that you mention provides only additional modules with uncertain results. If you want reliable tuning ask DINAN.(www.dinancars.com).
