tried this but didnt like it , changed coding back but now ive lost the ability to open the boot/trunk with the remote without unlocking car first.

anyone know what i should be looking for to reactivate it ?

even changed it in car key memory 2 options >unlock with central locking , unlock always , so changed it to unlock always but no effect

Guys,

In my case I could not get the pathway light to work from the remote by just programming the following in LMA:

HEIMLEUCHTEN_KL58G_1
nicht_aktiv >> aktiv
HEIMLEUCHTEN_FUNKSCHL:
nicht_aktiv >> aktiv

After trawling the German forums, I discovered I had to also make the following adjustment in CAS:
SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM
nicht_aktiv >> panikalarm

Now when I press the trunk button the pathway lights will switch on for the period defined in the idrive.

I drive a 2006 euro e61 pre-lci

Hope this helps you out!

I like to use this when unlocking my car to simulate the feel of Orions on when unlocking it works but some time embarrasses me cuz if I'm too far the trunk will pop open. So i only use now as intended in my driveway when its dark

, I had to remove my spring from the trunk that pops the trunk open, as I have a carbon fiber trunk. Body shop told me the spring was too strong for the trunk and might cause to much tension on the trunk.

I can only get it to work (on my 2008 LCI with LMA2) the way Liam indicates.
However, when I do it like that, the trunk can't be opened with the key anymore.

Did you try to hold the button, maybe it works that way because also my trunk opening behavior has been changed.

Do you think there is a way to open the trunk without activating homelights ?
