Hey guys, I coded this yesterday and wanted to share it with the rest of you real quick. Traditionally, Pathway Lighting is activated by the Check/BC stalk on the steering wheel, but it's possible to code it to allow your key fob to activate it.

Here is a quick video I shot this morning. I may make one at night time if people is interested in seeing it in action at night.

The code for this is HEIMLEUCHTEN_FUNKSCHL in LMA. As far as I can tell (since I have coded so many things on my car), this is all it takes to enable this function.

LMA version 1 or LMA2?

Great Job!

Quick question (I'll do some researching when I get home tonight).

So to begin learning how to work the code, I need a USB to OBDII cable, a laptop with NCX Expert.. Is that all?

Thanks, Patrick

Should be the same for both.

You need the specific compatible cable and correct software setup of NCSExpert, yes.

Sure thing Chase. It's just one of those cool things to have, haha. And it does override welcome lights, so if you activate it, and then unlock the car, it'll remain active. I believe that the angel eyes and eyebrows ARE suppose to come on together (as opposed to because of my other coding and wiring), so maybe someone else can confirm that.

Also, this is available on the E63 platform as well. Just did one tonight.

I forgot mention another thing (more like I didn't notice this earlier, haha). With Pathway Lighting, the cluster will light up as well. So those of us that has white cluster mod or a M5, this just looks awesome looking into the interior

Oh another thing, there's actually a code for Pathway Lighting "extension" in LMA. I imagine that it'll make it last longer. I personally don't think it's necessary as you can adjust it to last for several minutes in iDrive. Unless this removes that 3 activation limitation. In any case, I haven't mess with it.
