Passport 8500 X50 or V1

V1 all the way. I've known more people who switched from Escort to Valentine than vice versa.
On our last trip to Laguna Seca, enforcement along the 101 was as heavy as I've ever seen it. The V1 regularly identified a threat, but more importantly, the direction. In one particular case, that was the difference between a triple digit ticket (for the poor SOB in the Lambo) and us.
IMO, there's an added measure of security knowing where the bogey is coming from, rather than just knowing he's around. Once you know the threat orientation, it makes it that much easier to utilize your resources along that axis.

the only reason everyone likes the V1 is because of the arrows, in actuality it isn't the best detector. Don't get me wrong it is a very good detector but not the best just has directional arrows. I have used the V1 and really like the arrows myself, you just have to make a decision on what is priority for you. Do you really need to know where the radar is coming from or would you prefer to be warned of the radar a little sooner. I think you should add the belltronics rx65 sti detector to your poll. Also try this review hope it helps

Rob - Lose the 8500 and get the V1. I had the 8500 and got 2 tickets with it. I got the V1 and have been clean free for over 3 years now. Once you live with the Arrows, you'll never go back. It couldn't be more true!
