Default Parts help: socket housing - air suspension motor

Hi folks --

New both to this forum and to working on my 2009 E61.

Replacing air suspension compressor and had to cut the wires to the compressor because socket housing was melted onto the terminals. I now need to replace the melted socket housing. Don't see the part in the air suspension parts diagram. Anyone familiar with this socket housing? It's 2 pol with heavy gauge wire (maybe 12?). Here's the part I'm looking for:

I think this may be it, but want to be sure:

Would obviously love to learn that is is a common socket housing that can be purchased at generic auto parts store, but would be happy just to have the BMW part number.

Thank in advance to anyone who can help.

You can find BMW part numbers on RealOEM.com.

Thanks. I've looked at realoem and others. It does not appear in any of the parts diagrams that I can find. This is the most relevant diagram and the socket is not featured:

I believe it is this housing (https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=12527514236) but since it is not shown or labeled in the diagram, I have no way of knowing -- and there are quite a few varieties of socket housings (2, 3, 4+ pol) with similar shape -- so I cannot be sure. I'd prefer to know before ordering part, so as not to delay the repair... but I guess that is what I'll have to do.

Its most likely on another diagram. I doubt you'll find the connector housing separately, its part of that wiring harness.

Makes sense. I'll look for the harness and also take a shot on what I hope is the correct connector in the meantime. If correct, I'll post an update. Seems like these compressors burn up with some frequency, so I'm sure I won't be the last to have this molten connector issue.

Prepare yourself for potential sticker shock, though. Reminds me of the time I wanted to replace my trunk wiring loom. That wimpy harness, I'd say looked like it cost less than $100, it cost $475. I ended up repairing it.

Your best bet is an E61 part out and just re solder the wires back on. I know there is one at a yard near me. If I go back any time soon I can snip it off for you

I'm going Saturday and I can look at the junk yard this weekend to see if I can find what you're looking for.

Great team effort we have here. Any idea why that connector housing got melted? I mean, you wouldn't want to replace it, only for it to just happen again.

I'm thinking failed and caused constant power.
