They can be cheaper in the states becuase of Taxes.? It is expensive after you pay the 16% in tax
We just pulled into a dealership (somewhere near Frankfurt) and picked up roof racks and bike racks for previous BMW when we did Eurodelivery. Applied for VAT (tax) refund when we left the EU and got cheque in the mail.

My recollection is that it was about the same or maybe a bit more expensive but with the tax refund, it was a bit cheaper. However, the DM was somewhat weak at that time and the Euro is pretty strong now so this may not be true any longer.

Hi!
Let me ask questions for buying parts in Germany.
Actually I will travel Germany( Munich and Hamburg) in November and I am considering to buy some parts in there.
But? I don't have any experience and I don't know where I can buy BMW parts in Germany.
Please let's share your experience and where I can buy parts in Germany.
Thank you for all your inputs.

Since you are going to be in Munich your best bet is BMW Niederlassung on Frankfurter Ring. If I remember the address correctly it is Frankfurter Ring 35. It is the factory dealer in Munich and "should" have most things in stock, although I have on occasion wanted parts that they did not have in stock and had to wait a couple of days for.

Yes you do live in paradise.
I would take the bad dealer service if I would get the cheap gas and lower taxes.
In Germany it's about the same like in the Netherlands...
Income tax up to 52 percent and VAT 16 percent.
Gas prices are around 5 US Dollars per gallon...
