I have to change tyres to my Mini Cooper S ... Obviously with NOT runflat .

I started to think to the weight I could take away from the wheels .. 3-4 kg every tyre .

After I thought : my rims, 17" Supernova, weigh about 12 kg each .

(12 kg .. Heavier than M5 rims)

I saw these wheels on a site that sells mini stuffs :

http://shop.ozracing.com/moda/ozracing_pro...p;code_exten=22

(two colors available : silver and black)

Only 7.2 Kg each : -4.5 Kg *each* rim!!!
+ at least 3 Kg *each* tyre .
8 kg*4= 32 Kg taken away from wheels .

Now I see that they produce the same rims for E60 :

http://shop.ozracing.com/moda/ozracing_pro...p;code_exten=61

http://shop.ozracing.com/moda/ozracing_pro...p;code_exten=22

I think these should be ok on E60 .
Unfortunately they produce max 18" but not 19" .
Someone can make a photoshop ?
Just curiosity ..

I had a thought about those wheels because wanted light wheels with reputable brand, but
could not find dealer from where I live at the moment...Ended up ordering M166?s from Tony thank?s to him!

Anyway I agree that those might look OK with 5 series even though they are little too stripped down for
a big car. But I think you have to see them live, because in picture they just vanish...

Saturday I will mount them on the car .
I have weigh both rims and tyres: tire 8.3 Kg (michelin exalto* PE2)

Alloy wheel... 7.1 KG!!!!
(stock Supernova is 11.7!!)

-18.5 Kg less with only rims!

About runflat tires weigh I don't know yet : you have to wait for saturday .

I wanted dark grey rims, but the site wasn't so clear, thus I have ordered Matt Black ... What a pity!

Ultraleggera : 'leggero' mean 'light' indeed .
I hope, with weigh save, to gain agility and to make breaking better! (in next weeks I will change also lines and oil like on the 545)
