Out with the old ... CCC
Hi guys
I've got a 2006 E60 with CCC. As you will all know CCC was awful. All I want is a system that connects to my phone via Bluetooth. I presume this means removing CCC and replacing with a CIC system. As a mature student funds are tight-ish, so can anyone recommend a decent supplier? What are the parts numbers I need?
Thank you very much for any help you can give.

Hi donpb
I know my phone already connects to the CCC, I'm just really used to using Spotify and Google maps for navigation. I don't need all the bells and whistles of playing videos etc, just simply play music from my phone and use Google maps.

CCC - CIC retrofit can be very expensive. You seem like you're needing CCC-Android retrofit. Google around to find out what is available.

I know this sounds simple of me, but what exactly does a CCC Android retrofit mean? Does it mean all I need to replace is the screen on the top of the dash?

A good retrofit already coded is going to cost around $1k. If you're wanting to do the Android unit swap Bimmerdirect is a good place to purchase. When getting an Android unit you'll want to get the one that's had the most RAM to prevent freezing. The Android unit is the easiest to install about the 2. Remember though, you'll still have the CCC unit installed so if you're trying to get rid of it completely CIC retrofit is the only way to go.
