This simple modification is a must on LCI cars IMO.
I removed the reflectors (very easy to do) and got them painted at the local body shop. Here are some pics:

Nice, much better making them invisible

I'd do the same on the front silver trim that looks like bumper shows it's tongue out :P

The reflector thing is so funny to me. When I got my last 550i everyone hated the body color inserts on the rear bumpers so they went out and bought European reflectors. Now it seems the opposite is true. Personally, I don't think that it's such a bad idea either way.

I like that much better. I'm not a fan of the fender reflector...it's weird to me

Lookin good. I'm debating whether to change mine. In person, they appear a lot smaller than in pix.

I've seen this happen with every BMW model, people hate DOT mandated changes as they usually make the car less appealing. It's not really a modification but rather a restoration to originally intended look.

huh? Over here where the orange reflectors are not required, I would love to have it on the bumper like that. Its nice, and if it had like a light thats on all the time like the old s-class benz, it'd be even cooler.

Yeap, now it looks more "european"...
