akebono euro pads.... same bite as oem... light dust... and quiet...

Anyone have problems with the drilled holes or slots rusting?

I don't think that's necessarily a "problem" - I have had drilled and slotted rotors on several cars and from several makers (from R1 to Brembo) and they all have had a little surface rust in the chamfers or slots. It happens, the same way if you leave your car sitting a few days you'll see surface rust on the rotors.

Does anyone know how much shorter life span on pads is with slotted/x-drilled rotors?

i'm sure it is relevant to driving style ...but a ball park would be nice

i keep seeing it being a lot more costly in the long run if i have to replace pads 2-3 times more often than with OEM
