the RPI scoop takes about almost 1/2 the air that enters through the driver's side kidney grill and directs the air into an inlet tunnel. the tunnel is 90 degrees from the kidney grills, and that tunnel is directly connected to the airbox.

And the result is the car will have X amount of additional horsepower and torque? Or it is just for sound affect? Or acceleration is quicker?

Yes, I admit! I was one of the non-believers, until..
While I was driving home from work today I decided to call Joe from Trinity Autosport. I figured he would keep me company while I'm fighting with the heavy traffic So the RPI Scoop came up in our conversation. I asked, what's the scoop about this scoop? I tell ya this guy is so passionate about this particular product that he went on and on about it and here's the great part... offered to install it for me!! Oh, even better, I said, ok I have time right now, without hesitation, his response was, OK!! I can't believe my ears! Customer service galore!!
So it took Joe 10 long minutes to install this beautiful thing. After the installation, he offered to do a little run with me to test the scoop. And 3 to 4 runs later...WOW!! I must say...WOW!! Need I say more?

i'm a semi believer,
nice looking i must say, it brightens up the front!
but how does it work, if when a car is moving there is already a lot of airflow and air resistance?
surely at 100kmh all that air is already being pushed into the airbox in copious amounts to satisfy the rpm???
as it is static and not really channeling the fresh air in an air tight channel to the airbox like the real "ram"
intakes, i have my doubts.
personally guys, i like to think it works but i don't really think it makes much difference at all.
but nice to have on all the same!

You got some pics on how the scoops stick out when looking at the car from the front?

My Ride: 2006 520d - 19" 172s- Remapped - LCI taillights V6 cables - LCI xenon headlights - Denison 500 with BTA1500 - led interior lights - OEM led number plate lights
Planned mods:
Folding mirrors - Modmynav kit - High gloss shadowline trim -
How much extra power will it add to a remapped 520d? How easy and exactly how is it fitted? Can you supply to UK? Why get the BMC air filter as well?
