Found a 12 inch crack along the sidewall on one of my rear tires so need to replace it ASAP. Is it okay if I replace the one tire now, before the other tire arrives? Will it cause too much stress on the quaife LSD? Please help.

OK. Nobody chimed in so I did it anyways. Here is the bad tire in case anybody is interested. It was hiding on the inside tire wall. Crazy.

The car drove home okay, and it didn't smell like over-heated differential fluid (not that I'd even know what that smells like, lol). Unless I hear otherwise, I'll just keep the miles down on the car until I get the other tire installed.

West,

I am by no means an expert, but my thinking is if the tire width and diameter are the same as the other, I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

Ah, okay. I was just curious because the tire tread on one tire is new and much more used on the other one. I guess the differential should be able to handle that, but I wasn't sure.

Thanks man. You're gonna love the exhaust. You should get your car dyno'd before and after as well.
