OEM IPOD Adapter Limitations - FIX ?

Does anyone know if the BMW OEM IPOD Adapter limitation will be fixed ever or we stuck w/ 255 playlists? Hoping new software upgrade will fix it.
I bought IPOD Classic 160GB and loaded some 1500 Playlists, but in my car it only shows 255 playlists

Also once I go into Playlist, and then come back out, it will take me to 1st playlist instead of the last playlist
