OEM 166 W/ Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or PS2's? Any opinions?
I'm picking up my wheels tonight and I'm in the process of ordering my tires!
I'm planning to run 245/35/19 Front and 275/30/19 Rear.
I was going to get the PS2's but the UTQG/tread rating on the PS2 (220AA) is almost half that of the A/S's (400AA)
What do you guys think?
Thanks

If grip is your priority, then get the PS2s. The pilot sport a/s are all-season tires.
It sounds like the AS's should last twice as long as the PS2's when driven under similar conditions, can there be that much difference in performance between the two to warrant buying two sets in the lifetime of one of the other?
What would you do?

I want the best of both worlds! Doesn't everybody? While grip is important to me for good performance, the AS's seem to be a good balance of grip and treadlife.

I would opt for the A/S tires. Cheaper (is it?)and it'll last longer. I drive like a grandpa anyway, lol.
Fact of the matter is, unless you are running 110% all the time, you'll prolly not even come close to the limits of the A/S tires let alone the PS2s. But that's just mho. Your mileage may vary....
Good luck

How about Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's? Heck of a V-shaped tread pattern with a slightly greater 280 tread rating. Another forum member got a great deal on them from Tire Rack.

You can't really compare the tread rating between different brands, but for a tire in the high performance category, the continentals are supposed to have good treadwear.
The Goodyear F1 GS-D3s are a nice alternative to the PS2, though they should exhibit similar wear characteristics.

I've got the PS2, and they are amazing. Granted, I have never tried the All Seasons.... but I live in Florida. I have no need for All Seasons.
