You have 4 O2 sensors, There are two exhaust manifolds and each has a sensor in it, and then there is one after each catalytic converter.

ugh great isn't there a way that I test each O2 sensor by using ohms. Isn't there supposed to be a range that the meter is supposed to be in and if it's out of that range that's the bad one. Unless I should just replace them all?

Any BMW code reader with I/M readiness or live data can read them too.

Yeah, this isn't helpful without seeing the actual BMW codes you received. For example, if you got a code saying your catalyst efficiency had dropped then I would either replace the post-cat O2 sensors, swap them with the fronts, or check that the cats are still good. I believe when the car is running you can generally put a voltmeter on the sensors and see what you're getting but I'm not too familiar with that. Just remember the 2 sensors in the exhaust manifolds are the ones that help your engine run properly, the ones after the cats are merely there to check if the cats are still working.

I have been using Castrol Syntec full synthetic 5w30 without issue.
