hello, anyone know any recommended mechanic shops in the Northern Virginia area that would install suspension components (coilovers) for around $300-450, with alignment. I looked around and got quotes ranging from $600-800 just for installation, as they estimate 6-7 hours @ $110/hour Does anyone know where I can get this done cheaper with alignment, otherwise I may just install these myself over the weekend thanks

This is what happens when you buy parts online and not through the shops. They rape you on install labor because its their only way to make money since you opted to go another route.

Have them do it or have someone who has experience do it.

Yea, I got a great deal online so even if I bought the coilovers through a shop it would still cost more in the end with install, plus shops still make money on labor (install). Anybody else know any reputable NOVA shops that charge fair labor prices?

PraiseTheLowered thats not true over here.... there arent many shops in these areas like in cali ... they are limited number of shop that wants to work on BMW or jack up the price just because it is bmw.

price is even higher some places even if they buy coilovers...they put alot of margins on coilovers again just because it is for BMW.

so in NOVA area it doesnt matter if you buy parts from shop or online...

If that is the price for local shop, ask BMW how much it would be for them to install... i got mine done with same price with loaner car

If it makes you feel any better, I got quoted $800-900 for a coilover installation from three different BMW mechanics here is Boston.
