I've got 19" 166's (repli's), but haven't lowered the car.
Almost everybody thinks it looks good this way, only a couple of people say i should drop it (but i won't, it's a pain getting over speedbumps now, let alone when i drop it).

Thats the wheels im looking at, i have a feeling that mine is alittle lower in the back but its very hard to say, but im picking up a 535D Saturday for a freind thats on 18", might give me an idear about what to do.

My Ride: '04 530d Executive, all options except sunroof and comfort seats
ECU remapped by ZipTuning to 260+bhp.
It's quite a deceptive picture, as the sun is coming from the front right of the car and is standing quite low, so it lights up the inside wheelarches.
The picture of the "dark side" gives a better impression.

My Ride: Silver/Grey E60
My signature is a non lowered on 19's.
Since then I lowered it with Eibach springs and Koni FSD shocks. It wont really bother you too much until you see your car parked next to one with the sport package. I decided to lower mine after I went to the dealer and saw my E60 parked next to other ones that were lower.

Thanks for all the pictures and it help me go another way than i expected, your not lowered 19" E60 looks great, but i have my first not lowered BMW in a line up of about 25 BMW that i have owned the past 10 years. This car is doing alot more miles than any of my prior and current cars, and i know by my self and my wife tolled me 300 times by looking at your pictures they look great, but you wouldn?t manage the gab for 10 seconds, specially when you already question it, as i tolled you earlier i know she?s right.
We uses a saying her don?t know if it works in English to: IF YOU DOUBT IT, YOU ARE NO LONGER IN DOUBT.
Yesterday i went with a friend to get a 535D with the slightly lower suspension and 18" m sports wheels i was convinced i?m going for 18" on mine to.
Thanks for all your help.

Not to jack the thread, but since we are on the same topic and I'm currently saving up for some 20" rims, anyone have pics of that? (20" on non-lowered)? I'd appreciate it if you can help.

That looks nice. I don't have my new wheels on yet, but you just made me feel good about not lowering the car. The roads are not the best in Eastern Washington, and the snow/ice mounds would not do well with a lowered car. I run the stock 17" 124's with Winter tires this time of year.
