No Aux input on 05 545 w/Nav?

My Ride: 545i 6-speed Orient Blue/Auburn
Is there somewhere a reference that this is NOT the case so that I can prove my service advisor and tech wrong?

My Ride: '05 545i, silver gray, black leather with anthracite maple wood, sport package, premium sound, navigation, cold weather package, electric rear sunshade, folding rear seat, satellite radio prep, PIAA 4150K fogs, red rear reflectors, hardwired Valentine One
I have an '05 545i (built 11/04) with nav & had the aux input successfully installed. As far as I know, the aux input can be installed in any E60--here's install instructions--it doesn't list and conflicting options:

My info is that it can be fitted to any configuration of the E60....

reference why? Why BMW sells it as an accessory you can have it they do not know what to do, if the latter is the case take your baby to another dealer.

unless they have occupied the 3 input points most unlikely though then no problem to do,but its a swine of a job for the faint hearted.better to pay.
as my tech said the correct process is to check and bring up the s/ware upgrade to the point of fitting then fit and continue the program.
cost wise for the time involved it is a fair price,because of problems in s/ware upgrade crashing the tech has to be there during all the upload.therefore unless its puma,i gess the dealer doesnt want the job unless its tied to someother problem or upgrade to absorb the time costs.also the down side might be they have to give you a loaner as well incase it takes 2 days ,most i believe dont want to do this because of these reasons.
but if you do get aux fitted then you will get new software and maybe maybe..you will get mp3 capability.

Of course they should be used to dissasembling trim and parts so maybe not too much of a problem to some dealers.but all to fit 3 wires in
one point i will make is if you want the aux for a specific purpose then think of the location of the socket(stereo type small) where you want it for the device as the lead is fairly long and would reach footwell on both sides easilly.and you could have that extended to almost anywhere(coin box etc) but more dissmantlig in another region is more cost!

Mine works fine. Dealer had to submit puma case because wiring diagram was wrong. I told them wiring worng, did not believe me and submitted the puma case, and then were shocked I was right. I was right thanks to this forum.
Think the document BMW gets now is fixed. Otherwise, the PDF above is what I took to them.
