Hey guys, i am kinda confused now, i have decided to go with exhaust, scoop and headers. but i was confused on doing a ecu upgrade, or a small 35 shot of nitrous. i was told by one of our fellow members who is running nitrous that you shouldnt do both, being the chip advances timing. so if it was left up to you guys which of the two would you get done???

ecu remap!

I have a 525 and I am looking to do a few engine upgrades plus sprint booster (which I highly recommend you get...you will freak out) because its slow as ****.
Where did you get headers for a 525? Will it void my extended warranty? What kind of exhaust do you have? You have thr RPI scoops and filter? What kind of gains do you have from the mods you have? I am looking on doing these mods plus the Sprint Booster plus a chip from another company besides upsolute if superchips has one for 525. |
Headers on a 525? That's a waste of money. Just curious, but who even makes headers for this engine?

For the money, it's definitely a waste (unless of course, headers on a 525 is dirt cheap and the gains are exponentially greater). Hell, I even think doing headers on my car is a waste. $7,000 for headers plus an additional $1500 for installation for an extra 20rwhp? No need. By removing the secondary cats, doing a full exhaust system, a dinan diff and getting a remap will keep you right in line with those that have headers. Ask LI-M5. He raced countless guys with headers on their M5's and nobody beat him. They stayed neck and neck.
