has anyone tried filling up their tires with nitrogen? i was at my local big 0 tires and they filled up my wheels with nitrogen.

any downside to this?

Yes and no , once you fill your tires with nitrogen , you can only refill with nitrogen. Only problem is not a whole lot of local gas stations carry nitrogen pumps. Nitrogen is suppose to be better because its lighter than air. You can't mix the two or you'll have more of a chance to have a blowout, or at least thats what they say.... But thats about it. John your car is smoking these days !!! Nice!!!

thanks Sam! i guess i am stuck with nitrogen in my tires!lol...i guess if i really wanted to change back, i can just have them "suck out" the nitrogen and put back regular ole compressed air!

car is still WIP, got a few things lined up the next few weeks prior to MFest. you coming out to vegas? i was telling Oz to come out too!

yes, i understand that. but thank you for pointing it out.

if you read my original post, i asked if there is a "downside to filling up with nitrogen". i never once questioned the % of nitrogen in the air we breath.lol

thanks. i had a very very slow leak on my front driver side tire, hopefully this will help that.

have you experienced any difference, if any?
