Can't say anything about Nexens, but I used to have Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31 at size 245/40 R18.
I wouldn't consider them noisy, but two of them were out of round. Had to replace them because they made the car vibrate that couldn't be balanced out.
Have you considered Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110? I have them now as my summer setup at size 245/35 R19.
They've been great!

I have these on my car now. When I bought the car back in July of 08, the Dealer (Non-BMW) bought and put them on because the tires on there were bald. I was kinda worried at first, but they have held up pretty good. I don't have anything bad to say about them. And you guys are right, they look good too.
