hi all,

i know that this has been probably discussed already, but i simply cannot make a decision. I like how Nexen N3000 tires look, and the price is extremely affordable. Has anyone had experience with NEXEN tires?

my other choices could be
ECSTA ASX KU-21
Toyo PROXES 4
ZIEX ZE-912
Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31
General Exclaim UHP

in other words (less than $120 tire, from www.tires-easy.com)

its for 525i 2005, and for Florida weather.

I put Nexens on my '06 530i Sport and it rides better and handles as well as those awful run-flats.

The Nexen N3000 is a nice tire.

- Made in Korea.
- ZR Rated.
- Decent on road noise.
- Very nice tread design.
- Priced right.
- 340 treadwear rating.
- Also, when its mounted on a wheel, the tire has a very little part that comes past the edge of the wheel. Sort of like a rim protector, but not really. It just looks nice.

I would personally choose the Nexen compared to most of the other choices.

ZIEX ZE-912 - Look into the FK452. Its nicer compared to the ZE-912
Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31 - Caution road noise.
General Exclaim UHP - I personally think its one of the ugliest tread patterns period.

I had the Nexen 7000's on my previous wheels ( stock 18" 123's ) and they were ok I guess but I dont know how they would compare to the 3000's. I now have General Exclaim UHP on the new wheels and I must say that Im very happy I got these instead of the Nexens. Huge difference...

That is mainly due to Nexen 7000 you had were all season tires vs General Exclaim UHP is summer tires. You are comparing apple to oranges.
Nexen n3000 however is summer tires(and that's what OP is asking)

The N3000 will work as a San Francisco Bay Area all season tire.

I dont even think we need all season tires where I am from.

i had on my wheels and they were good. i liked it better than Nitto nt555. main plus for n3000 is price and handles great. i ran through nt555 in less than a 7 month ...and n3000 lasted me much longer.

nexen N3000 is same lexani n3000. and they are lower priced michelin tires. so i would recommand n3000 .

i wouldnt put general tires on bmw ...

I think Nexen builds the tires for Lexani. I didnt relly like the NT555's either. They wore out to fast.

I've had my Nexen's on for about a year and no issues. Cool tread pattern too.
